Strategic Data Manager | About You

As a Strategic Data Manager, you are responsible for developing and implementing data strategies, overseeing data governance, managing data architecture, and driving data-driven decision-making processes. You are comfortable working with a team of data professionals to establish data management best practices and deliver high-quality data and information at scale to a wide variety of clients and industries. You are a strategic thinker who understands the impact that data quality can have on advancing an organization's BI Maturity, and you find excitement in building enterprise solutions to achieve an integrated data strategy.

Strategic Data Manager | Day-to-Day

  • Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Lead data analysis efforts to extract insights and inform decision-making processes using tools such as data mining, predictive analytics, and business intelligence.
  • Define and implement data strategies, policies, controls, and programs to ensure the enterprise data are accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.
  • Analyze problems and opportunities and their impacts on the business by considering all fact-based and stakeholder information to evaluate alternatives.
  • Establish processes for monitoring and improving data quality, including data cleansing, validation, and enrichment.
  • Develop Master Data Management (MDM) technology-enabled solutions that address the needs of clients, including the design, automation, and orchestration of enterprise Master and Reference Data.

Strategic Data Manager | Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Master Data Management (MDM) solution design, development, and implementation, with additional expertise in Reference Data Management, Data Governance, Data Management, Analytics, and Technology.
  • Proficiency in data management tools and technologies, such as databases, data warehousing, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Expertise working in a complex matrixed environment and expert-level SQL skills.
  • Deep understanding of bi-directional MDM and the role it plays in an effective Data Management Strategy.
  • Skilled in working with at least one modern MDM platform, with knowledge of best-in-class options.
