Snowflake Data Engineer | About You

As a Snowflake Data Engineer, you are responsible for defining data requirements, developing technical specifications, and architecting scalable and efficient data pipelines. You have a strong background in cloud-based data platforms and services, along with proven leadership skills to manage a team of data engineers. You will optimize ETL architectures and ensure adherence to best practices, security, and coding guidelines. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams, offering strategic insights and reporting project status, risks, and issues.

Snowflake Data Engineer | Day-to-Day

  • Lead a team of data engineers in the design, development, and implementation of cloud-based data solutions using Snowflake, Fivetran, and Azure services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, develop technical specifications, and architect scalable, efficient data pipelines.
  • Design and implement data models, ETL processes, and data integration solutions to support business objectives and ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Optimize data architecture for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness, leveraging cloud-native technologies and best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, guiding team members in the adoption of best practices, tools, and methodologies.

Snowflake Data Engineer | Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on cloud-based data platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Extensive hands-on experience designing and implementing data solutions using Snowflake, Fivetran, and Azure cloud environments.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with advanced knowledge of data modelling techniques, dimensional modelling, and data warehousing concepts.
  • In-depth understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks, with experience in implementing security controls and encryption in cloud environments.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, communicate technical strategies, and achieve goals in a fast-paced environment.
